Welcome.

@ THE REMOTE SENSING RESEARCH PROGRAM:

Our research provides private and public sector organisations with techniques to turn satellite and airborne images and field survey data into meaningful maps or information from one or many points in time. These results can then be used to better understand where, how and why environments are changing, and to separate natural changes from those produced by humans.

We also teach remote sensing through a range of undergraduate, postgraduate and directed research higher degrees.  Our undergraduate and postgraduate courses provide foundation knowledge and skills in image acquisition and analysis as part of geo-spatial information programs in Degrees for Science, Arts, and Environmental Science and Management.  Our research degree programs provide industry-linked topics and experiences at the leading edge of earth-observation sciences globally.
